Snacks & Dips
Crispy, sticky, and fiery — made for dipping in blue cheese sauce
Crispy baked buffalo wings coated in a sticky, fiery hot sauce butter glaze. These wings are everything you want — golden and crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with heat. Serve them straight from the oven with a generous bowl of Blue Cheese Sauce for dipping.
Preheat your oven to 220°C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with a wire rack.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towel — this is the key to getting them crispy.
Toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Arrange in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for 20 minutes. Turn over and bake for a further 15 minutes or until cooked through.
While the wings bake, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, and honey in a large bowl.
Remove the wings from the oven and toss immediately in the buffalo sauce until well coated.
Serve straight away with Blue Cheese Sauce for dipping.
Kitchen Notes
For extra crispy wings, leave them uncovered in the fridge for a few hours (or overnight) before baking — this dries out the skin beautifully.
What I'd serve with this
With a big bowl of Blue Cheese Sauce for dipping, celery sticks, and cold drinks. These are made for sharing.
