13 May 2025

All the best bits of a pepperoni pizza — creamy cheese base, rich pizza sauce, gooey melted mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni — baked together into one irresistible dip. This is the ultimate crowd-pleaser for entertaining, and it comes together in minutes. Serve straight from the oven with crusty bread or toasted baguette slices.

Ingredients

10 serves
  • 500g cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups pizza sauce
  • 2 cups tasty cheese, grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella, grated
  • ½ tsp dried oregano (extra)
  • Pepperoni slices

Method

  1. 1

    Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced).

  2. 2

Beat the cream cheese until smooth, then mix in the Greek yoghurt, salt, garlic powder, dried oregano, and black pepper until well combined. Spread evenly into the base of a baking dish.

  3. 3

Spoon the pizza sauce over the cream cheese layer and spread to cover.

  4. 4

Combine the tasty cheese and mozzarella, then scatter generously over the pizza sauce. Sprinkle with the extra ½ tsp dried oregano.

  5. 5

Arrange the pepperoni slices over the top in a single layer.

  6. 6

Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and golden at the edges and the pepperoni is slightly crispy.

  7. 7

Serve immediately with crusty bread, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.

Kitchen Notes

This dip freezes well — allow to cool completely, then freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the oven at 180°C until hot and bubbling. Serve with GF bread or crackers if needed.

What I'd serve with this

With a big pile of crusty bread, toasted baguette slices, or crackers for scooping. Put it in the middle of the table and watch it disappear.
